Explore villages with many traditional jobs in Sapa
A lot of ethnics live in a small and not spacious land is the highlight point you can see easily in Sapa. Therefore, tourist should not miss the chance to discover 5 following interesting villages on the trip coming to Sapa.

1. CAT CAT VILLAGE
It is only 2 km from Sapa center town to Cat Cat village – the ancient village of Mong people which remains many traditional handicraft jobs such as planting flower, weaving fabric and making jewelry items. Especially, many special and unique customs are just remained here, do not happen in anywhere or it is the same in somewhere but not original.
Through these weaving looms, Mong people create a lot of colorful brocading cloths with special designs such as form of grass, tree, flower or bird, etc. Related directly to weaving procedure, Mong people will carry out the next step in making cloth procedure that is coloring and printing designs. The most popular technique are indigo staining, herbs and forest leaves ash coloring.  Finishing staining, they will polish it by rolling the round wood piece on a smooth and flat stone and put on a little bee wax.

2. TA PHIN VILLAGE
The first destination for tourist when you come to Ta Phin is to visit the Institute – an ancient unique architecture designed due to Western style, built in the end of 19th century. Until now, it still remains its ancient and charming beauty. Take a look from the Southeast, opposite the Institute, Ham Rong Mount located in a breathtaking position with many stone ranges covering many shapes and different formations. The highlight emerging formation is the image of a Dragon which is raising its head blanketing all the space of Sapa.
Continue the trip, on the asphalted road, you will get brocading fabric club of Mong and Dao people. Coming here, tourist will easily look at beautiful costumes dressed up by Mong and Red Dao people.
Along with brocade fabric club, native bathing products also is reserving and developing. At the current, in Ta Phin village, there are 18 households of Dao people, contribute capital to establish a company which produce bathing products. Besides, they also build bathrooms in order to meet the requirement for customers who want to have a bath in basket.

3. TA VAN VILLAGE
Following the highway 4D to the Southeast, about 8 km, you will meet Ta Van Giay village.  Coming here, you will have a chance to understand more about the lifestyle and custom of Giay people. The path to Ta Van Giay is very small and narrow and it is land road. Two sides of the road are surrounded by terrace fields plus green color of corn and small rice.
The main job of Giay people is rice planting. Besides, they can make product tools and sculpture silver by themselves. They live both in house on stilts and land house with the central space is the serious position for worship and living room. Giay people contain a quite various culture with many grim, poems, proverb, riddle, etc. Their costume is very simple: women wear short indigo trousers reaching their ankle, large swift, make their hair look like a scarf border and often carry a bag with brocaded texture, man wear T shirt cutting chest, round neck and cloth peanut together with standing swift trousers and scarf on head.

4. HO VILLAGE
The weather is not too cold like in Ta Phin or Ta Van, it is warmer in Ho village. Our car continues running on the round path with one side is high breathtaking mountain range and one side is deep abyss until the yellow color plus red brown of leaves, Hoang Lien National park appears in front of your eyes with the image of high or low stunning rice terrace fields. Come a long, you will meet a virgin stone church near the road, beside is a stilt house with many brocaded items, food and drink are sold, etc. and some tourists are sitting there, so it means you come to Ho village.
Visiting Ho village, you will have a chance to join warm life with the local people. In the morning, you will be taken to visit around Hoang Lien National park, where there are a variety of plants and animals. Because it is warmer in Ho village (18 – 20 Celcius in average) so at noon, you can swim in the Lave stream, gaze the beauty of spectacular Da Nhay waterfall with white bubble.

5. SIN CHAI VILLAGE
Sin Chai village, San Sa Ho commune, is 4 km from Sapa town, the village still remains its simple and wild beauty. This is the village of Black mong with the population around 1400 people. Beside planting rice and corn, local people in Sin Chai also choose flatten mountain foot to plant some cardamoms or fruits in order to make more money among this ancient valley.
Sin Chai is one of seven villages of Ta Giang Phinh, located in the first position of the North of Sapa district. There are quite a lot high age people and women among 127 households of Mong and 624 people. Getting here, visitors often concern about how native people live longer, especially, women here live longer than men do. But they only can explain that it depends on genetic, fresh air and purity water source, clean fruit without chemicals among pretty nature here.
