At sunset, somewhere in the market is gathered by the H’mong and Dao boys and girls giving each other loving glances. When darkness covers, sitting together in dubious light, they talk together all night long. When they can find the other part, they give the others some gift then arrange another dating on the next market day. This culture activity has been preserved and maintained for ages. Sapa market is hold daily in a week but it’s more crowded on Saturday and Sunday. Every Saturday evening, the Mong and Dao residents go to the market for exchanging goods, and for dating.
